The Fitzory Readers
Seventy Gently Graded Stories
Children learning in English must have stories which they can read for themselves. This means stories which they can conquer within their own concentration spans.

The Fitzory Stories are carefully graded. Once the sound of the letters of the alphabet are learned, students can move straight onto these readers and successfully read stories. (Only 14 of the letters are needed for story 1!)
The Fitzory Stories這套書是經過細心分級的一套教材。一旦兒童學習到基本的單字與發音，就能夠直接切入到教材內，順利閱讀故事。（故事一只需要學習14個單字！）
Each story introduces a NEW SOUND (a typical English diagraph) and a few SPECIAL WORDS (words that have to be learned by rote). The new sound and new special words are always indicated on the back cover of each reader, to be checked first. Every other word in the reader is known already-from previous readers.
每個故事都會介紹一個新的發音方式（常用英語單字的發音），與一些特別的單字（需要花較多時間去記熟的）。會出現的發音方式與單字，都會出現在每本書的背面，讓讀者能夠預先知道自己即將學習到的新東西。除此之外，每本書內的其他所有單字都會是之前所學過的。
The result is a steady and confident mastery of printed English. Using these stories, a great many children have been rescued from a loss of reading confidence.
